It is not possible to use the stop on the 39 in Landford because of roadworks closing the road from 16th to 23rd October.

Morning Peak Road Closure: Bath Road, Bitterne

14th Oct onwards

Please be aware that Bath Road in Bitterne will be closed at the junction of Bursledon Road from Monday 14th October, affecting the Bluestar 3 morning peak diversion.

The first two Bluestar 3 journeys towards Southampton will continue on Bitterne Road East to Maybray King Way and will be unable to serve the Bath Road bus stop on Bursledon Road.

Roadworks: A33, The Avenue - Lodge Road to Northlands Road

7th Oct onwards

Owing to cycleway improvement works on The Avenue between Lodge Road and Northlands Road, we are unable to serve two bus stops in the area from Monday 7th October until the works are complete. These are:

Outbound: Stag Gates (outside Dominos) - Please use Archers Road or Northlands Road
Inbound: Northlands Road (outside Avenue St Andrews Church) - Please use Stag Gates.

Road Closure: Lepe Road, Langley

1st Oct onwards

Please be aware that Lepe Road will be closed from West Common in Langley to the Lepe Beach seafront, from Tuesday 1st October for 6 weeks affecting Bluestar 9.

From Blackfield, after the Chapel Lane bus stop buses will turn right into Lea Road and immediately right into Chapel Lane, follow on to Kings Ride and on to West Common, then at the end of the road, turn left back onto Lepe Road for the inbound trip.

Unfortunately this means we will be unable to serve stops at The Langley Tavern and Langley Farm in both directions and Chalewood Road towards Langley. Your nearest alternative will be Chalewood Road towards Southampton.

Unfortunately this means we will also be unable to serve Lepe Beach on Sundays throughout October and early November.

One-way Road Closure: Rownhams Road, North Baddesley

23rd Sep - 1st Nov

Please be aware that Rownhams Road will have a one-way (southbound) road closure between Fleming Avenue and Rownhams Lane for six weeks from Monday 23rd September, due to emergency gas works.

Bluestar 4 to Romsey: On coming into North Baddesley, buses will continue past the right turn into Bracken Road, and instead turn right into Rownhams Road, follow the inbound 4 route via Rownhams Road, Fleming Avenue and Bracken Road back to Rownhams Lane, then turn right to continue on Rownhams Lane towards Romsey.

Please note this means the Southampton-bound bus stops will be served by both Romsey-bound and Southampton-bound buses. Please check the destination on the front before boarding.

Bluestar 5 to Romsey: From Rownhams Road/North Baddesley Crossroads, buses will turn left into Fleming Avenue and on to Bracken Road (like Bluestar 4), at the end turn right onto Rownhams Lane and continue to Romsey.

Customers for Romsey are asked to wait at stops on the opposite side of the road or at Biggs Corner on Rownhams Lane.

Bluestar 4 and 5 to Southampton/Eastleigh is not affected.

Road Closure: Kathleen Road, at junction with Bursledon Road

20th Sep - 31st Oct

Please be aware that Kathleen Road will be closed at the junction with Bursledon Road, from Friday 20th September, affecting our new Bluestar 19 service, which starts on Sunday 22nd.

We regret to advise that buses will need to divert between Kathleen Road after the Gladstone Road bus stop and Hinkler Road, Springwell School in both directions.

To Thornhill, buses will turn left into High Firs Road, right into North East Road and right into Bursledon Road to re-join normal route at Hinkler Road. Buses to the city will do the same in reverse.

Unfortunately this means we will be unable to serve the 'Bursledon Road' stop along Kathleen Road. Customers are advised to use Hinkler Road, Springwell School, or Kathleen Road, Gladstone Road.

Road Closure: Stoneham Lane, Eastleigh - Football match days

Please be aware that Stoneham Lane in Eastleigh/Swaythling will be closed during Eastleigh FC home match fixtures to allow the safe arrival/departure of fans attending the matches - closure dates and times can be found in the link above.

Buses will divert between the Concorde Club and Swaythling McDonalds via Stoneham Way in both directions.

Bus Stop Suspension: Upper Deacon Road / Bursledon Road

16th Jul onwards

Please be aware that the bus stops on Bursledon Road by Upper Deacon Road will be suspended while works are in place to improve the junction.

Bus Lane and Bus Stop Suspensions: Redbridge Roundabout

7th May onwards

Please be aware that there are redevelopment works on Redbridge Roundabout requiring lane and bus stop closures.

To minimise delays, all buses towards Totton will use Redbridge Flyover and will be unable to serve the stop on the slip road/approach to the roundabout.

Towards Southampton, Bluestar 6, 9, 11, 12 and Salisbury Reds X7/X7R will also use the flyover and will not serve Redbridge Roundabout or Redbridge School bus stops. **However, Bluestar 8 will continue to serve these as normal.**

Road/Bus Stop Closure: College Place / Law Courts

28th Oct onwards

Please be aware that the slip road/entrance from Inner Avenue into College Place will be closed from Monday 28th October for 5 weeks, meaning we will be unable to serve the inbound Law Courts bus stop during this time.

Customers are advised to use the Archers Road or Giddy Bridge stops as alternatives.

Overnight Road Closure: Itchen Bridge

28th Oct - 2nd Nov

Please be aware that the Itchen Bridge will be closed for 5 nights between 10pm and 6am starting Monday 28th October.

Bluestar 17 to Weston, from Central Bridge will run via Albert Road North, Marine Parade and Britannia Road to Northam Road, then via Northam Bridge/Bitterne Road West to Bitterne then via Peartree Road/Bridge Road to Woolston to rejoin normal route at Victoria Road.

Bluestar 17 to the City/Adanac park will do the same in reverse.

Unfortunately we will be unable to serve stops at Itchen Bridge (City side) towards Weston, Bridge Link Road in both directions, and Johns Road on Portsmouth Road, Woolston in both directions.

Road Closure: Slip road from West End Road to Maybray King Way

31st Oct - 1st Nov

Please be aware that the slip road from West End Road onto Maybray King Way towards Thornhill/Hedge End will be closed overnight on Thursday 31st October from 8pm until 6am on Friday 1st.

Bluestar 3 and 18 will continue past the bus lane/gate on Bitterne Road West and follow on to Maybray King Way and will be unable to serve stops at the bottom and top of Lances Hill and opposite Bitterne Shops.

Customers are advised to use the Bitterne Leisure Centre stops.

Bluestar 16 is unaffected, and all buses towards the city are also unaffected.
