Support from our community fund leads to new equipment for youngsters at Hamble Youth Football Club

We are showing our support for grass roots football in the region - by providing funds to Hamble Youth Football Club.
We are doing this by a donation of £250 from our community fund, so the club’s under 9s team can buy new training equipment to help enhance the players’ game.
“We are thrilled to be backing the Hamble Hawks u8s football team, which represents an area where we operate bus services,” said Bluestar operations manager, Andy Shaw.
“By providing vital transport links here, we consider ourselves to be a part of this community. With this in mind, Bluestar is always on the look out for ways to support schools, groups and club’s in-and-around Southampton - which is why we created our community fund.
“We’re thrilled to be backing this excellent youth football team, and wish them every success for the future.”
Hamble Hawks U9s are coached by two of the team’s dads.
Hawks coach, Paul Johnson, said: “We’re very grateful to Bluestar for helping provide equipment for the team. The players put in the effort to make it to training and they give their all in every match they play. Gaining this extra equipment will play a key role in helping to improve their football skills.”
Fellow coach, Dan Hammond, added: “This is a great gesture from Bluestar, and will really assist us during our coaching sessions. I’d like to thank them for their support.”
Previous beneficiaries of our community fund include Veracity Recreation, Sunday Lunch Project and Baby Necessities.
