Bluestar funding helps Bishopstoke Toy Library continue supporting local families
Bishopstoke Toy Library has received a welcome boost thanks to a £750 donation from our community fund.
The non‑profit, volunteer‑run organisation, primarily aimed at children 0-5 years olds, provides families across Bishopstoke, Eastleigh and the wider area with affordable access to toys through a borrowing service, helping reduce the cost of play while supporting children’s development.
“At Bishopstoke Toy Library, our aim is simple: to make play accessible to every family,” said Katrina Mysko spokesperson for the Toy Library. “By offering a wide range of play resources and a 'try before you borrow' service, we help children explore creativity, and build social skills, all without families needing to buy new toys.
“Our service also brings people together. The Toy Library is a shared community space where families can meet, connect, and support one another. At a time when many households are feeling financial pressure, we’re proud to offer an inclusive, sustainable alternative that reduces waste and keeps play affordable.
“This generous £750 donation from Bluestar guarantees we can continue operating for another year. It will make a real difference to local families, and we are incredibly grateful for their support.”
