UPDATED 24/02 Bitterne Road East closure to affect Bluestar 3 and 13

diversion due to bitterne road east closure affecting Bluestar 3, 13, 630, 631, 632

From Monday 17 February, a section of Bitterne Road East will be closed in both directions for 7 weeks. Works are expected to last until around Friday 4 April. During this time, the Bluestar 3 and 13 will have to divert. Please see below for details:

UPDATED 24/02: The Bluestar 3 will follow its normal route until Bitterne Shops and then divert via West End Road to Bitterne Road East via Beauworth Avenue, Minstead Avenue and Cheriton Avenue.

Towards Hedge End the following stops will be missed: Bitterne Leisure Centre, Bath Road. Use Bitterne Shops (Stops BC/BD) or Mon Crescent as an alternative stop.

Towards Southampton the following stops will be missed: Bath Road, Bitterne Library, Ruby Road, Bitterne Leisure Centre. Use Bitterne Shops (Stop BA) or Mon Crescent as an alternative stops.

The Bluestar 13 will divert  from Somerset Avenue to Bitterne Road Shops via Thornhill Park Road, Kanes Hill Roundabout, A27 and Cheriton Avenue then return via Minstead Avenue and West End Road to Bitterne Shops. Towards Harefield no stops will be missed.

Towards Southampton the following stops will be missed: Bath Road, opp Bitterne Library, Bitterne Leisure Centre. Alternative stops are opp Sunningdale Gardens and Bitterne Shops (Stop BB).
