theone for everyone – now every 10 minutes

Increased frequency and much more coming to theone from 31 August 2025
We love how our customers have embraced our theone for everyone service from Southampton to Winchester.
With so many things to do and a great way of commuting, as of 31 August, there are even more improvements for you.
From 1 September theone will now operate up to every 10 minutes Monday to Saturday. This is funded by our partnership with Hampshire County Council and the Bus Service Improvement Plan.
Starting Sunday 31 August there will be more buses on Sundays too and these will now run every 20 minutes. Plus, there is a new later journey on Sunday nights in both directions, leaving Southampton at 00:10 and Winchester at 00:05.
Following feedback from commuters we are delighted to add a new earlier journey Monday to Friday, which leaves Winchester at 05:05.
If you regularly catch the bus at Winchester Bus Station, don’t panic if you can’t find us, as due to the increased frequency we have moved further down onto Stand G which will now be used by Bluestar only.
We have modern comfy buses, with improved seating and USB chargers for your convenience, so whether you are meeting friends for coffee, going on a date night, studying at school or college, or experiencing the general culture of Winchester or Southampton theone really is the way to go.
Single bus fares are just £3 due to the Government fare cap, or if you are travelling after 7pm it’s only £1 per trip! If you travel regularly, you may be able to save with some of our ticket bundles or period passes.
Weekend fun?
We have our N1 that also runs all night every Friday and Saturday, so whether you are letting your hair down, or covering a late shift, we are on hand to get you home safely. Special fares apply on night buses - £3 single. Just tap on and tap off with your contactless card and there is no need for a paper ticket.
