Improved connections for Townhill Park

Great news! From Sunday 30 August, connections to Townhill Park are improving.

NEW Bluestar 6

We are introducing a NEW Bluestar 6 route running daily between City Centre > Itchen Bridge > Peartree Avenue > Bitterne > Townhill Park

• Up to every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday
• Up to every 60 minutes on Sundays including an evening service

Customers from Townhill Park will have a new link to Woolston. Peartree Avenue will have more frequent buses

Bluestar 16 Extended to General Hospital

The Bluestar 16 will be extended after the city centre to provide a new cross-city link, serving the General Hospital and Southampton Common. The new route is as follows: 

Aldermoor > General Hospital > St James' Road > Hill Lane > City Centre > Northam > Bitterne > Midanbury > Townhill Park

Whilst the frequency of Bluestar 16 will reduce, in combination with the introduction of the Bluestar 6, there will still be a bus every 15 minutes linking Townhill Park with Bitterne and the City Centre. 

The NEW Bluestar 6 along with improved Bluestar 16 and existing Bluestar 20 create a brilliant network of buses for the Townhill Park area.
