City Centre diversions during Southampton Christmas Market

Due to the closure of Bargate Street for this year's Christmas Market, there will be some route changes in the city centre from Friday 6 November - Friday 4 January. Please read carefully below to make sure you're aware of any changes to the routes you use. 

Bluestar 1, 2, N1 & N2:

Towards Winchester/Fair Oak, buses will start from a temporary stop outside Bella Italia and will then continue their normal routes from Above Bar onwards.

Towards City Centre, buses will not serve Civic Centre, ASDA/Marlands, West Quay or Hanover Buildings. Instead after Guildhall Square, they will drop off at Above Bar and a temporary stop at Bella Italia.

Bluestar 3, 10 & 26:

Towards Hedge End/Sholing/Whiteley, buses will start at West Quay stop BF instead of Bargate Street stop BL and then continue on their normal routes. 

Towards City Centre, buses will do their normal route until Vincent's Walk. Instead of then dropping off at stop BL on Bargate Street, buses will divert and drop off at West Quay stop BF.

Bluestar 6:

Towards Townhill Park, buses will start at Vincent's Walk stop CH and divert NON-STOP before continuing the normal route from the Oxford Street bus stop. Buses will not serve Bargate Street, West Quay (stop BG on Castle Way) or Holyrood Church bus stops.

Towards City Centre, buses will terminate at Vincent's Walk instead of Bargate Street.

Bluestar 13:

Towards Harefield, buses will start as normal at Vincent's Walk but then divert NON-STOP before continuing the normal route from the Oxford Street bus stop. Buses will not serve West Quay (stop BG on Castle Way) or Holyrood Church bus stops.

Towards City Centre, buses will do their normal route until West Quay where they will terminate. The only stop missed will be Vincent's Walk.

Bluestar 14:

Towards Hedge End, buses will start at West Quay stop BF and then continue the normal route. Buses will not serve Vincent's Walk or Bargate Street stops.

Towards City Centre, buses are unaffected.

Bluestar 15:

Towards Hamble, buses will do the normal route from Central Station and then divert NON-STOP after Vincent's Walk, before continuing the normal route from the Oxford Street bus stop. Buses will not serve West Quay (stop BG on Castle Way) or Holyrood Church bus stops.

Towards City Centre, buses are unaffected.

Bluestar 16, 18 and N18:

Towards Townhill Park/Bitterne, buses will do the normal route as far as Vincent's Walk and then divert NON-STOP before continuing the normal route from the Solent University bus stop. Buses will not serve Bargate Street, ASDA & Marlands, Civic Centre or Park Walk bus stops.

Towards City Centre/Millbrook, buses are unaffected.

Bluestar 17 & N17:

In both directions, buses will divert between Vincents Walk and Bernard Street not serving West Quay or Holyrood Church.

Bluestar 19/19a:

In both directions, buses will divert between Vincents Walk and High Street/Telephone House via Queensway and Briton Street. Normal stops at West Quay and Holyrood Church will not be served.
