Bluestar 6 to become New Forest Breezer 86
2 months ago

We are sure many of you will have seen our newest brand making an appearance in Southampton - The New Forest Breezers.
They are operating on the Bluestar 6 and we are gradually painting more buses to upgrade this route. As of Saturday 23 May, the Bluestar 6 will have a new route number, and will become the New Forest Breezer 86. From the same date, there will also be some reliability changes to the timetable which you can view here. The route will remain the same.
As part of the rebrand, we are also updating bus stop flags and painting the blue poles green. As this is quite a lengthy process, we are starting this work now. Therefore, you might see a new bus stop flag with route 86 on it but we wanted to reassure you that it is still operating the Bluestar 6 timetable from these stops.
Our Breezer buses are an already established brand that are operated by Morebus in the Dorset area. They are loved by both residents and visitors alike, offering a relaxing and sustainable way to explore by bus. With all single fares capped at just £3 until at least the end of 2026, it's a great time to hop on board - especially on our longer-distance routes, many of which offer some truly spectacular views along the way.
They'll share the same fun, distinctive look and feel as the rest of the Breezer family, designed to sit comfortably within the landscape whilst remaining easy to spot. Each New Forest Breezer will also feature some of the wildlife you may encounter during your journey.
You can connect to our other New Forest Breezer routes, the X1 and X2 in Lymington. These are also being rebranded and will become the New Forest Breezer 81 and 82.
