Important 2020/21 school route information
5 years ago

Bluestar will be running lots of extra buses to help ensure everyone can get to school and college easily.
Capacity restrictions due to Covid-19 and social distancing will continue to exist on the normal bus network, so additional journeys will be provided on the busiest routes. In many cases these will be for scholars-only and will run with different route numbers to the normal route.
Capacity restrictions will not be in place on all existing and new scholars-only routes, in line with government guidance.
Please use the following guide to find out the changes as they apply to your school.
Please note that face coverings will need to be worn by all senior school pupils when travelling on our buses, except those exempted for medical reasons.
All other school routes remain the same and further information can be found on our dedicated schools and colleges page.
Applemore College
Bluestar 8 will no longer serve Applemore College. Students should instead use the dedicated 538 and 539 routes. We have also added in additional journeys on the 509 which will now leave from the Applemore College grounds.
Barton Peveril College
Please visit our dedicated Barton Peveril page for more information.
Cantell School
We would ask students not to use the Unilink U6 in the morning. Instead, our 506 route will run in the morning too from Southampton city centre to Cantell School.
Mountbatten School
We would ask students not to use the Bluestar 4. Instead, we have a new dedicated route - the 504 - which runs from Maybush to Mountbatten School.
The 654 is retimed slightly.
Peter Symonds College
We would ask students not to use the Bluestar 1. Instead, we have a new dedicated route - the 801 - which runs from Chandlers Ford to Peter Symonds College.
Priestlands School
We would ask students not to use the Bluestar 6. Instead, we have a new dedicated route - the 706 - which runs from Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst to Priestlands School.
The Romsey School Academy
We would ask students not to use the Bluestar 4. Instead, we have a new dedicated route - the 514 - which runs from Shirley to Romsey School.
The schoolday only journeys on the route 35 (08:14 from Ampfield to Romsey and 14:55 from Romsey to Ampfield) will not run. Instead a new dedicated school bus - the 635 - will be in operation.
Saint George Catholic College
We would ask students not to use the Bluestar 2 or Unilink U6. Instead, we have two new dedicated routes - the 512 - which runs from Southampton city centre to Saint George Catholic College, and - the 566 - which runs from Aldermoor to Saint George Catholic College.
St Annes Catholic School
We would ask students not to use the Bluestar 17. Instead, we have a new dedicated route - the 517 - which runs from Lower Brownhill to St Annes Catholic School.
