Bevois Hill closure affecting Bluestar 20 & U6 (UPDATED)
From Friday 04 October, there will be diversions on the Bluestar 20, U6 and U9 due to the closures at Bevois Hill. Cobden Bridge has now reopened.
Cobden Bridge has now reopened but the Bluestar 20 is still affected by the Bevois Hill closure. See below for the updated diversion.
In both directions (from 02 December - 15 December) - Buses will follow the normal route to Bevois Valley and then divert right at Bevois Hill into Thomas Lewis Way, left into St Denys Road and then U-turn at the Sainsbury's/Mitre Junction to continue on its normal route back across Cobden Bridge. Buses at the Mitre bus stop will serve both directions from the same stops so please make sure you get on the correct bus.
The U6 is only affected by the Bevois Hill closure but will divert in both directions.
Both directions (from 07 October till 01 December) - Towards Southampton buses will follow the normal route up until Portswood Sainsburys where they will turn left at The Mitre, right into St Denys Road and then right down Thomas Lewis Way where there will be a temporary stop near the junction at the bottom of Lodge Road. After this, buses can continue on the normal route into the city from Bevois Valley Aldi. All usual stops will be missed after Portswood Sainsburys and until Bevois Hill but all stops on the diversion will be served. Buses will follow the same route in reverse towards General Hospital.
We would like to thank you in advance for your patience during this closure which is unfortunately out of our control. We recommend you plan your journey and track our buses in live time using the Bluestar app. Click here to find out more.
