Single fares

The Government’s £2 single fare cap is ending as of 31 December 2024.  The new single fare cap will be £3.

In our Southampton fare zone, all single fares will be just £2.60 from 31 August 2025. Return tickets are not available. However, a Dayrider, which gives you unlimited travel within the Southampton zone, will be just £4.30 if purchased on our app or via tap on tap off. 

If you pay for your tickets on the bus, we recommend you use tap on/ tap off, but don’t forget to use the same contactless payment card each time you travel.  Find out more about tap on tap off.

If you still prefer to buy a paper ticket from the driver a Southampton Zone dayrider will cost £4.50 and you can pay by cash or contactless bank card.

In our other fare zones, Southampton Plus and Network, single fares will range from £2.50 to £3. Returns will still be available, and the maximum cost of a return is £6.
