School Bus Passes
Students who use a dedicated school bus route
Option 1
Mobile passes will still be available as they have for the last few years. This is still our preferred method for you to use. We know this method works well, plus not all schools are banning the use of smartphones, so please use this option if you are able. If it is your first time buying a school pass via our app, a one of verification process will need to be completed - find out the full details.
Option 2
NEW pre-pay contactless tickets are now available and is the alternative way to pay for dedicated school bus passes. The card you use MUST be in your child's name.
Pre-pay lets you use a contactless payment card as a bus pass, or pre-loaded cards such as Go Henry, or Nat West Rooster.
Once you've bought your dedicated school pass via the pre-pay portal and linked your card (this must be a card in the child’s name), there's no need for paper tickets or cash. The same card must be used each time they travel, and they will need to tap on the driver’s ticket machine each time they board the bus and tap off each time they leave the bus.
The nominated contactless card now acts as your bus pass.
DO NOT enter any of YOUR OWN card details as you will not be able to transfer the ticket to your child's card once you have done this.
All card details entered MUST be for the child's payment card only.
Option 3
Pay as you go if you prefer not to purchase a pass in advance. Simply buy a single or return ticket on the bus using cash or a contactless payment card.
