Phil's on hand at city centre bus stops
Customers in Bluestar will be greeted by some new faces and familiar ones as they board and alight buses across the city centre.
Our Bluestar’s team including Phil from our travel shop is standing by to ensure our buses are clean and safe as demand for our services steadily increases after lockdown.
We have stringent anti-viral cleaning regimes, with a greater focus on high-touch areas since the coronavirus crisis began. Our specialist teams at the depots in Eastleigh and Totton work hard every day, making sure buses are sterile and ready for our customers to travel with us. In addition to these measures, additional members of our team are meeting buses in the city centre, throughout the day, to check them and give touch points on-board an extra clean with anti-viral wipes.
Phil Berry, who is part of travel shop and customer services team, is among them and is also keen to talk with customers about any aspect of our services, as the city begins to emerge from lockdown.
He can help with timetable queries, and any technical questions people may have about using our app and website. Especially since we have a new track your bus feature as part of our journey planner which tells people how busy their bus is. So, for those of you that aren't naturally tech savvy Phil will be able to talk you through what you need to do.
We’ve been proud to have provided transport, through challenging times, to help key workers carry out their vital roles here in Hampshire. Now, we are all very excited to be increasing our bus services, and welcoming back our loyal customers.
