Have you seen our tribute bus?

1 month ago Fri 1st May 2020

We are delighted to unveil our special ‘rainbow’ bus - in tribute to Hampshire’s NHS staff.

We provide essential bus services for many key workers across Southampton and the surrounding area - and we are keen to show our appreciation to those carrying out vital roles in the region.

Our drivers, who are also key workers, are proud to be helping local heroes travel to  hospitals and other NHS locations.  With this in mind, we wanted to show our appreciation for everything NHS staff are doing to save the lives of people within our community who have COVID-19. Of course, the work they do doesn’t stop there. They are also continuing to care for those with other conditions and illnesses.

So many of us owe them a debt of gratitude, not only during these troubling times, but always. Our ‘rainbow’ bus will be used on Bluestar 17, our most regular route for Southampton General Hospital. We hope it reflects our huge respect for NHS workers, and the pride we have in transporting them across the region.

We also want to pay tribute to all other key workers who are supporting us all throughout this crisis - from shop assistants and engineers to the emergency services and, of course, bus drivers.
