New measures to help protect bus drivers and key workers on board

We are introducing new precautions and advice, designed to help keep our bus drivers and key worker passengers safe during the coronavirus situation.

We are busy installing temporary Covid-19 screens in cab areas, to protect drivers and customers.  You will start to see these on our buses from Tuesday 31 March.

We have also temporarily taken front seats out of use, to provide extra space between drivers and those travelling on our buses.  We would like to thank those of you that have already converted to contactless or app payments, but would ask everyone if at all possible if they can avoid using cash.

We recognise many key workers rely on our bus services in order to travel, to carry out their vital roles.  In normal times, we actively encourage social interaction on our buses - but these are all important temporary measures, designed to help keep everyone safe during the coronavirus situation.

We have tweaked our on-board voice announcements to remind passengers to wash their hands regularly, and to practice social distancing - keeping two metres apart - when queueing at bus stops.

We've put this quick video together for you to see:

Stay say out there everyone and once again we thank our fantastic team who are still keeping the wheels turning.
