Increased freqency for Bluestar 17 & 18

3 weeks ago Wed 6th May 2020

From Monday 11th May we are increasing the frequency of buses of Bluestar 17 which serves Southampton General Hospital, and our popular Bluestar 18.

Both routes will run approximately every 15 minutes throughout the day - Monday to Friday. This is in response to an increase in demand and will help to ensure those using our services are able to maintain social distancing.

As well as key workers who are based at Southampton General Hospital, we know people are attending appointments there that are unrelated to COVID-19. So adding in more buses is the right thing for us to do.

Keeping our drivers and customers safe is our top priority, so we are trying to limiting the use of cash, it should be used only by those who have no alternative way of paying.  Please pay by contactless or app wherever possible.

Full timetables can be viewed here:

We continue to pay thanks to all our own colleagues who have kept the wheels turning to enable other key workers to make essential journeys during this difficult time.
