Concessionary travel pass time restrictions re-introduced

As things gradually return to normal and shops begin to re-open.  Hampshire County Council (HCC) and Southampton City Council (SCC) are re-introducing time restrictions for concessionary pass holders (English National Concessionary Travel Scheme).

The weekday restrictions mean that HCC concessionary passes are not valid for travel before 9:30am and SCC concessionary passes are not valid for travel before 9.00 am Monday to Friday.  Travel is permitted all day Saturday and Sunday.

It is still recommended that buses are only used for essential travel and from the same date The Government have said that face coverings must be worn when using public transport.

Although many of our services have increased to their normal frequencies we are urging concessionary pass holders to not all travel at 0900/0930, as there may not be room for everyone due to the reduced seating capacity onboard to allow for social distancing.  If you can travel later in the day this may be advisable.
