Concessionary bus passes

If you were born before April 1951 you will become eligible for a concessionary bus pass at the age of 60. If you were born after April 1951 eligible age will vary. To check your state pensionable and your concessionary travel eligibility age, see the calculator on the Government website for guidance or email [email protected].

These passes are not valid on the New Forest Tour.
Southampton City Council
Concessionary bus passes
If you have a Southampton older persons pass you can travel between 0900 and 2359 Monday to Friday (or any time at weekends) if your journey starts within the Southampton City area.
If you are travelling outside of Southampton you can travel between 0930 until 2300 Monday to Friday and all day at weekends and Bank Holidays across the rest of England.
Disability bus passes
A disabled person's Southampton bus pass can be used between 0900 to 2359 Monday to Friday, and all day weekends and public holidays.
Hampshire County Council
Concessionary bus passes
If you have a Hampshire County Council older persons bus pass you can travel on buses in Hampshire between 0930 and 2300 Monday to Friday, and all day at weekends and on Bank Holidays.
Hampshire passes can be used in England outside of Hampshire from 0930 Monday to Friday and all day weekends and Bank Holidays.
Disability bus passes
If you live in Hampshire and are aged 5 or over and meet set disability criteria you are eligible for a disabled person's bus pass.
Your pass can be used from 0930 to 2300 Monday to Friday, and all day weekends and public holidays
All other English concessionary bus passes
All other English council passes can be used from 0930 to 2300 Monday to Friday and all day weekends and public holidays.
