We met up with representatives from Abby's Heroes last week to give our final donation to our charity of the year.

In light of the Covid pandemic, we extended the time spent raising money and awareness for Abby’s Heroes, and have donated a total of £3000 to the charity.

We stretched our charity of the year period to two years, collecting money at our travel shop in the city centre, and organising sponsored events - like our Christmas Jumper days

One of our buses also displayed information about Abby’s Heroes, in a bid to highlight the important work the charity does within our community. We’re delighted to have had such a successful year supporting this very worthy cause, and wish them all the best for the future.

Sally Randall, founder of Abby’s Heroes, said: “We were thrilled to have been nominated to be Bluestar’s Charity. The vital donations we have received throughout the past year, has allowed us to maintain our support to families whose children have been diagnosed with cancer and treated at UHS. To all the customers and staff of Bluestar, we are sending our heartfelt thanks.”
