Seaside in the Square is back for 2019

From Friday 19th July to Sunday 11th August, the giant 480 metre squared 'Urban beach' returns once again to Southampton's famous Guildhall Square, offering three weeks of free events and activities.

For the active among you there will be a chance to try out sports with free taster sessions courtesy of Decathlon and Rees Leisure.

If you prefer to sit back and relax, then why not take in one of City Eye’s film nights in the sand or enjoy a drink from the Orange Rooms pop up bar while listening to live music.

View our handy leaflet to get there by bus & make the #BluestarPromise

Why not #Bustotheseaside and make the Bluestar Promise? One bus can take 75 cars off the road, and by swapping one car journey for one bus journey per week, you're helping keep Southampton green and clean, reducing pollution and congestion in our city.

Nearly all our services go in to, out of or through Southampton city centre, with most stopping just a few minutes walk from Guildhall Square, and we have a great range of tickets and group dayriders available - all available on our mobile app Clickit2ride.

All our buses accept contactless payments, have free wifi and USB chargers.
