Morning Peak Road Closure: Bath Road, Bitterne
4th Nov onwards
- Affected routes:
Please be aware that Bath Road in Bitterne will be closed at the junction of Bursledon Road from Monday 4th November, affecting the Bluestar 3 morning peak diversion. The first two Bluestar 3 journeys towards Southampton will continue on Bitterne Road East to Maybray King Way and will be unable to serve the Bath Road bus stop on Bursledon Road. We apologise for any inconvenience.
14th Nov - 23rd Dec
Bargate Street / Hanover Buildings will be closed daily from 4:30-8pm (Mon-Sat) or 3:30-7pm (Sundays) for the Flying Santa high-wire event from Friday 15th November to Monday 23rd December. Bluestar 1, 2, 3, 4, 16, 17, 18 and 19 will be affected. You can find more information about alternative stops and diversion routes at: https://www.bluestarbus.co.uk/flyingsanta2019.
A3054 Romsey Road bridge over M27, Nursling/Upton
10th - 13th Jan
Please be aware that the Romsey Road bridge over the M27 at Nursling/Upton, and the M27 between J4 for the M3 and J3 for the M271 will be closed from 10pm on Friday 10th January through to 5am on Monday 13th January 2020. Whilst no services use these roads and there will not need to divert, we anticipate that traffic on surrounding roads will be significantly higher as traffic makes its way around the closures. We urge all road users to consider using public transport where possible, and we will have extra buses and drivers on standby should any majors reliability/punctuality issues arise. Thank you for your patience during this time.
