Bus Stop Suspensions: Stag Gates & Archers Road / Inner Avenue
7th May - 30th Jun
Throughout May and June, works to improve the pavement and introduce a cycle freeway along the southbound Inner Avenue in Southampton will be taking place. Buses will stop continue to use these stops if and when it is safe to do so, but it is likely they will be inaccessible at times. Customers are advised to please use Law Courts / College Place as an alternative. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Bus Stop Suspension: BTC Sports Centre / Stoneham Lane
3rd Jun - 3rd Jul
- Affected routes:
Please be aware that Stoneham Lane will have temporary traffic lights by BTC Sports Ground between the 3rd June and 3rd July for gas installations. The bus stops by BTC sports ground will be suspended during these works. Customers are advised to use Greenways stops, near Bassett Green Crossroads. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Event and Road Closures: Fair Oak Carnival - Sandy Lane/Fair Oak Road
Please be aware that many roads in Fair Oak will be closed on Saturday 29th June between 1-4pm for the Fair Oak Carnival Procession, affecting Bluestar 2 and 3. Bluestar 2 will be unable to serve any of the Fair Oak loop, and will instead divert after Underwood Road / Fair Oak Road continuing onto Alan Drayton Way where they will terminate at a temporary stop just after Olympic Way. Buses will then turn right onto Fair Oak Road to rejoin normal route back to Eastleigh. Unfortunately this means we will be unable to serve any stops at Stokewood Surgery & New Clock Inn (both directions) and New Road, Victena Road, Winchester Road, Witt Road, Fair Oak Square or Dean Road. Customers for Fair Oak Square are advised to use Bluestar 3 if viable, as it is less affected than Bluestar 2 (see below). Bluestar 3 from Eastleigh will run via Eastleigh Road and turn right onto Botley Road to Horton Heath. Buses to Eastleigh will do the same in reverse. Buses will be unable to serve Fair Oak Square or Shorts Road in both directions. A temporary stop towards Hedge End will be placed on Eastleigh Road near Oak Walk. Customers towards Eastleigh are advised to use Dean Road. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
