Something for Nothing -
Joined-up tickets from June 14

From June 14, you will be able to use any Bluestar Dayrider, Explorer and Freedom passes on Uni-link buses across Southampton – and there’s no extra charge to do so!

This opens up a whole load of new destinations across the city to pass-holders, such as the Airport on route U1, General Hospital & Royal South Hants Hospitals on route U6, Glen Eyre on U2 and the University Campus itself served by U1, U2, U6 and U9. For more information on where Uni-link go click here.

We’ve also created a handy map showing the combined Bluestar and Uni-link network across the Southampton area. Click to see the map here.

You can continue to buy all these passes from all the usual outlets – however, you can not buy these passes on Uni-link buses, you need to buy them from a Bluestar driver if you buy them on the bus.

And just in time for the Summer days out, Family passes become Group passes – up to any five people can travel together.

Family Dayrider passes, currently available for the Southampton area (£6) or Eastleigh area (£8), will be changed to allow up to any five people travelling together at no age restriction – how about that to keep life simple and offering the best value too!

The Family Explorer pass, available on all Bluestar, Wilts & Dorset, Uni-link buses, as well as other operators across the South Coast, will similarly allow up to any five people to travel together. The price remains only £14.

From the same date, there will be an increase in price to the Solent Dayrider (from £6 up to £6.20) and the Adult Explorer (from £6.50 up to £7). The prices of all other Dayrider passes including group and child passes will not change, and Freedom pass prices also remain frozen.
