There's lots of good news for customers, as we make a number of positive changes to services around the Bluestar network. Timetables will be available on this web site shortly.
Improved service at rush hours
Those travelling during rush hours on Bluestar 3 should see a big improvement as we introduce an extra morning journey into the city and make further timing changes to improve reliability during morning and evening peak times.
The 0730 journey from Botley will now run 5 minutes earlier and extend to St Anne's School. There will be an additional journey leaving Botley at 0745, arriving in Southampton at 0842.
Improved service for shoppers
Buses will now start and finish within the car park at ASDA, right outside the store entrance.
There will be some timing changes during rush hours to improve reliability and provide better departure times to/from Knightwood School.
New connections around Southampton from Thornhill
New service running between Bitterne, Thornhill and Weston, offering a through service between Thornhill Park Road and Thornhill. Service runs every hour between 0915 and 1515, Monday to Saturday, using easy access buses.
These journeys will now be run by other operators but Bluestar Freedom passes will continue to be accepted:
From Sunday 28 September, Bluestar will run the free CityLink service between Central Station, West Quay and Town Quay, connecting rail users and ferry passengers with the centre of Southampton. There will be no change to the timetable.

New late night service starting Friday 3 October
On Friday 3 October, Nightstar gets bigger. Nightstar N6 is a new route running from the city centre at Leisure World via Bevois Valley, Portswood, Highfield and Wessex Lane, connecting bars and clubs with University halls and capuses. We will run every hour, Fri & Sat nights from 0050 until 0350.
