We will not be able to run via Southampton Road and Derby Road for 11 weeks from Monday 30 June, as Southampton Road will be closed to all traffic during a major road works scheme.
Bluestar 2 will instead run via Leigh Road and Passfield Avenue whilst the diversion is in place and we will not be able to serve stops along Southampton Road and Derby Road. Alternative stops are available at:
Eastleigh Bus Station
Leigh Road, Good Companions’ pub
Leigh Road, between Brookfield Avenue and Passfield Avenue
A temporary stop at Passfield Avenue, Fleming Park Leisure Centre
Nightingale Bridge

We will not be altering the timetable of Bluestar 2 and we will not be reducing buses or the every 15 minute daytime frequency. Instead, we have re-organised our internal scheduling, to allow the service to operate more reliably, and we will be reviewing its performance on an ongoing basis whilst the diversion is in place. Your journey may be delayed slightly, so we would ask you to bear with us.
Other services in the Eastleigh area – Baby Bluestar C, E, F and buses to/from Barton Peveril College may also be disrupted due to an increased volume of traffic along other roads radiating from the town centre whilst the road closure is in place.
The road works scheme will result in Southampton Road being closed in three sections until 2 November. However, the final stage of the works will allow the section of road between the Rail Station and Derby Road to re-open. At this time, the normal route of Bluestar 2 can be resumed.

Your feedback helps us to run a service that meets your needs, so do please do feel free to get in touch with us directly to let us know how we are getting on whilst the diversion is in place. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to you.
