Whilst we’re Blue by name, we’re certainly not feeling Blue by nature this Christmas! When we were asked to organise travel for students from the Millbrook Community School in Southampton raised money for the Salvation Army’s Christmas Give A Gift appeal by creating and performing in a talent show, we wanted to do something special. On hearing that the performers were to travel to the city centre to purchase toys for the appeal, we arranged free travel to ensure that their £200 raised could be spent on the gifts.
Alex Hornby, our Operations Manager, was delighted to help the students on their special buying excursion. “They proved that you can have fun whilst fundraising,” he said. “To have talent is a gift and we feel that they should be applauded for using their talents in a show to benefit others.”
