Fly into Eastleigh’s Winter Wonderland

Fighting your way through traffic and searching for a parking space is so last year! Instead, flying into Eastleigh on Red Rocket and Bluestar is the hot ticket to the shops in Eastleigh and the huge Winter Wonderland event on Saturday 17 November.

To spread the message, ten of our Red Rocket buses are displaying posters free of charge to the Eastleigh community, in helping our local councillors to encourage crowds to the event that will include the official switching on of the Christmas light, a firework display, Ice Skating and Ice Wall Climbing, as well as a snow play area. And then there’s the shopping weeks until Christmas, and we think you’ll be surprised at how much Eastleigh’s shops have to offer, and how easy it is to get there with us.

Cllr Peter Wall and Cllr Chris Thomas joined Solent Blue Line’s Operations Manager Alex Hornby to inspect the posters. “We are delighted that Solent Blue Line are using their Red Rockets to promote the event and Christmas shopping in Eastleigh,” said Peter Wall. “Last year the Winter Wonderland proved very popular and we hope this year we can encourage many more people to visit Eastleigh.”

Our Operations Manager Alex Hornby is also keen to spread Eastleigh’s Christmas message. “We know it will be easy to have loads of Christmas fun in Eastleigh this Saturday and to cater for all your shopping needs heading into the festive season, but it may not be so easy - and stress-free - by car. Therefore, we hope that people will look at using our Bluestar or Red Rocket buses as their preferred option of travel”
