For the second year running, we will be doing our help to the annual Poppy Appeal, promoted in our operating area by the Southampton branch of the Royal British Legion. Alex Hornby, our Operations Manager has presented a cheque for £500 to the Poppy Appeal Organiser, Archie Parsons, at our depot where the giant poppies have been applied to 50 of our single and double deck buses.

Alex Hornby said that many people in the company felt it important to display the symbol of remembrance: “Not only should we remember those employees of Southampton’s bus companies who were killed in action or by enemy action, but support the Royal British Legion that will provide future help to members and their families involved in the current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.”
