The 1000 residents who live in Twynham Housing Association’s properties in Southampton, Eastleigh, Totton and Fareham are being offered a free days bus travel on Blue Star and Red Rocket. . Residents will receive their vouchers through the association’s magazine.

Rachel Acornley, from Twynham Housing Association, says that she hopes that those who are not in the habit of travelling by bus will make use the free day’s trial. “We are pleased to try this initiative with Solent Blue Line as bus travel can offer a real alternative to using the car for many journeys,” said Rachel Acornley.

Alex Hornby, Operations Manager at Solent Blue Line says that they are now targeting other organisations in the region to offer the free trial scheme. “We believe that once people use or free trial offer using our high frequency services they will be tempted to consider bus travel for many of their journeys,” said Alex Hornby.
