Independence of the seas launch celebrations

The Caribbean festival and vantage point to view the super-liner will be in Mayflower Park. Car parking spaces are limited, so getting there is easy with Bluestar – simply catch any of our services into Southampton and change to the free City-Link bus to Town Quay, or take the short walk from the Bargate area, via the walls and through the Quays leisure development.

The best place to see the spectacular ship is on the
do the docks tour bus, which will get you as close as possible to the vessel itself.

In addition, this fascinating tour shows you a different side to our great maritime city, offering a whole host of incredible sights and sounds of the dock areas. The route offers an intriguing, behind the scenes tour of Southampton’s bustling port, covering many areas not normally accessible to the public.
