Road Closure: Stoneham Lane, Swaythling - 29th Oct for 8 weeks

Please be aware that Stoneham Lane near Market Buildings in Swaythling will be closed for 7 weeks for Traffic Light Upgrades, affecting Bluestar 2 and Unilink U2C.

Bluestar 2

Bluestar 2 towards Southampton, from Stoneham Lane / Concorde Club, which will already be diverting due to a Southbound lane closure in Eastleigh, will run via the M27 J5 roundabout and Stoneham Way to rejoin normal route from Swaythling McDonalds.

Bluestar 2 to Eastleigh/Fair Oak, will divert from Swaythling McDonalds, via Stoneham Way and Bassett Green Road to Stoneham Lane to rejoin normal route.

The 15:10 Bluestar 2 service from Leaside Way to Southampton, will run via Bassett Green Road, Stoneham Way, and the M27 J5 roundabout and come back down Stoneham Way, to rejoin normal route from Swaythling McDonalds.

Unilink U2C

U2C will divert from Lobelia Road / Poppy Road, turning left onto Bassett Green Road to Chilworth Roundabout, and via Bassett Avenue and Burgess Road to Highfield Interchange.

Unfortunately this means we will be unable to serve some stops in the area. Please see below for a list of affected stops and your nearest alternative:

B*2 to Eastleigh/Fair Oak:

Bluestar 2 to Southampton:

Replacement Stop: Stoneham Lane / Concorde Club

Stoneham Lane / Bassett Green Road

Replacement stop opposite High Road / McDonalds

U2C to Mayflower Halls:

Bassett Green Road / Binstead Close
Bassett Green Road / Leaside Way
Replacement Stop: Lobelia Road / Poppy Road

Stoneham Lane / Bassett Green Road
Stoneham Lane / Market Buildings
Replacement stop: McDonalds / Burgess Road (Use U6H and change at Highfield for the U2C)
