There's a new star in town, on the 30 September 2012 we welcomed the newest addition to our services the Bluestar 16.

A new route from Townhill Park into the city centre. The new service will offer a 20 minute Monday to Saturday daytime with 30 minute evening and Sunday frequency.

Bluestar 16 will run a direct service between Townhill Park, Portswood and the city centre, providing Wakefield Road and Cobden Avenue with a new link to Southampton city centre.

The single deck buses on will be have its own bespoke Bluestar livery as well as being equipped with free WiFi for you to make better use of your journey time, and will have easy access for wheelchairs and buggy's as well as comfortable seating.

Customers can use their key smartcard to pre-purchase tickets to use on the route, as well as the option to buy tickets on their smartphones. It's in our Southampton Freedom zone, so you can travel all week for just £11 which is fantastic value.

To celebrate the launch we are also offering special offers on fares. £25 (usually £45) for a 30 day Southampton Freedom ticket on the key and £1 for any single journey along the route until the 14 October.
